Rachael Adams. The Scrutineer. Frieda Frowhawk
Recent work explores visual conventions of the landscape and audio soundscapes that convey recalled anticipated events, describing that formation in the emotional/physical landscape where the visible and the anticipated overlap, collide and conflict.
Her practice is, in part, an investigation into a perceived problem of ‘memory as evidence’ in recounting personal histories. She assembles stories using fact, fiction and ideas in pictures, print, text, sound and the moving image.

The Fringes: Edgeland Modern is a movement of artists and writers with a particular interest in the edges (not necessarily geographical), who investigate and develop ideas, symposia & chat.
